Tarun & Anubhuti (14th September 2009)


I was three months into Shaadi.com and had still not explored all its tools and functionalities. Till then I had adopted the conventional way of interacting with prospective profiles. Fourteenth of January, 2009, a WEDNESDAY, was like any other lazy winter day but for me it was special. I had taken a leave from office that day to be with my adorable niece, who was visiting us for the first time. Drooling over, pampering and playing with her left me with a wee bit of energy to log on to shaadi.com that afternoon, and some how I meandered into the chat section. The window pane displayed several members but my roving eyes glittered when I saw somebody from my home town of “Allahabad”.

I had left my home town 10 years ago but the memories were still afresh- neighborhood, school and the exotic river Ganga. I clicked onto the profile and immediately established my “ karmic connection” with Allahabad and now my wife Anubhuti. Once we started talking to each other, we realized we had several common friends …though the two of us, strangely , had never met …. After a whirlwind courtship of six months, we got married on July 1st, 2009, a WEDNESDAY !!
