I was looking for someone since June 2008 and chanced upon Helen's profile, who expressed interest. I got her number and we spoke and chatted just a couple of times in November 2008. We were supposed to meet for the first time in December, when I was on vacation in Mumbai.. we finally did on the last day, before I was to return in January, 2009, little knowing that I was in for a pleasant surprise. We met at a restaurant - I was floored..never happened to me on meeting anyone else.. My heart instantly made mental notes to propose marriage, but that did not happen.. I thought it best to wait for some time, get to know her better.. but it was my last day in Mumbai.. I had to plan out another trip!

I returned to Bangalore and she didn't keep in contact, explaining that work had got the better of her... I thought she was trying to tell me she wasn't interested. No harm done, I thought... I'll meet other girls, which I did. But then she had a day off on January 26, 2009 and we spoke and chatted and chatted and spoke some more. After this, we continued speaking and chatting daily and we definitely saw a growing fondness for each other and a relationship developing. Now, I definitely had to get back to Mumbai - to fix things.. And FAST!

It is a small world - we found out, during our conversations with each other, that her sister and my brother were friends; also, our homes in Mumbai are not far away, but I've been living away from home, working in Bangalore for the past 4 years. It was destined for us to meet on Shaadi.com.

I returned to Mumbai on Feb 13.. we met - several times, everyday.. until I left on Feb 19. We also had our parents meet and had other initial marriage preparations done. This is just the fourth month we've been speaking and it feels we've known each other for ages and were meant to be together! Both our families are excited and we're pleased to inform you that we were engaged on April 12th... we will be beginning our blissful lives together as husband and wife on October 17, 2009. Thank you so much for bringing us together!
