It came across as a joke when a friend’s mum suggested I join this site.
I felt it to be a desperate attempt to meet men.
I brushed the idea aside, but my friend’s mum was rather persistent. She
got me to navigate the website with her, and I was amazed by the number
of people who found their soulmate with the help of shaadi.com. Their
success has been quite impressive. I then became convinced that this is
indeed a good idea.
Within a few weeks, I found someone who interested me. Initiated contact
loaded with questions, and his answered didn’t fail to impress me. We met
shortly afterwards. Our meeting was rather comical, we still laugh at it
today. Neither one of us has turned back since then. The ride wasn’t
exactly a smooth one for both of us, but it has been worth it. We both
have been able to adjust to one another and learn from each other. The
feelings have deepened since then, and we are tying the knot (the
traditional do) with blessings from both our parents.
