Kavitha Reuben's story, 25th August 2003 :
Just when I thought this whole web site thing was a joke, Reuben contacted
me on June 23rd 2003. This was the third time he had contacted me and I
had blown him off each time...was I nice or what...anyway thanks to his
persistence, this time I decided to reply to his contact and I wish I had
responded the first time he contacted me.
From the first email I knew this was something to be not taken lightly. Within 2 days of writing to each other, we decided to talk on the phone...and guess what, he got me at Hello ;)...and the rest is history. We talked for about 3 hours the first time and we both noticed that we were talking in terms of 'us' and 'we' instead of 'me' and 'you'. We were both ecstatic to find that he had all that I was looking for and likewise with him. We are both from very similar family
backgrounds and had strikingly similar interests. We realised we did and thought the same way and had similar goals and plans in life. We decided to meet 2 weeks later on the 4th of July.
We were both nervous wrecks but it was worth it all. We fell in love with each other hook line and sinker and decided to get engaged. He proposed to me the following weekend and we are now in the process of finalizing the marriage date. We plan to get married in India in the presence of both our families and friends. We are firstly grateful to God for bringing us together and secondly thanks to you guys at Shaadi.com for the awesome job you do. Keep up the good work and God bless you.
And for all those of you guys and gals who are out there wondering and waiting if this could happen to you..Trust us...it will. There is someone for everyone and we are not kidding at all. Good luck and DO NOT GIVE UP.
