Dear Shaadi.com Team,
Its a New Year, a time to celebrate LIFE with friends & family around us, a time to leave behind the past & look ahead. A time to wish each one the best for the months & year ahead. So, what better time than NOW to write in and say "THANK YOU DEAR SHAADI TEAM" from both of us.
Before we go any further we both thought of sharing with you (and other members of the site) some details of how we met, till today...
Its really hard to pen down so many memories & wonderful moments in one go.. We met each other on 4-Nov-05. After getting to know one another via late-night online chats, frequent text messages and emails, we realised that we had so much in common... it took us no time at all to become BEST FRIENDS.... DUANE was in Calcutta & CAROLINE in Maldives. We both believe that any relationship needs HONESTY, DEDICATION and TRUST: qualities which we had found in one another.
I had decided to return to India, a decision taken before we got to know each other. As the days flew by I returned to Hyderabad and we continued getting to know each other better. It was 22-Nov-05 that Duane told me he loves me, something I knew deep within but had not heard till then! We both decided to get engaged, EVEN WITHOUT SEEING EACH OTHER!
Duane arrived in Hyderabad on 23-Dec-05. Seeing the intense love for each other it was no surprise that both families agreed to the engagement. And so the two of us committed ourselves in the presence of the ALMIGHTY amidst a gathering of family and friends on 27-Dec-05: a day we were both eagerly looking forward to.
We would be getting married in May 2006. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing us together,
