I'm Jaydeep, a software professional from Kolkata. I created my profile at Shaadi.com in early September, 2004. In less than a month I met Hetal, a senior school teacher from Indore, on this site. We exchanged introductory mails, followed by instant messaging, SMS's and phone calls which went on for about 3-4 weeks. It started with with "getting to know you" kind of conversation and before we knew it, SMS'ing and Calling up each others had become indispensable part of our routines. Thats when we realized that we are made for each other.
Finally, we both agreed upon the idea of involving our families to proceed further. As we both belonged to the same community , it did not take long for our families to exchange contacts and arrange a formal meeting for us. Hetal came along with her parents to Kolkata, we met face to face, and guess what?... We felt like we'v been knowing each other for ages. Parents and elders gave us a "GO AHEAD" and we got formally engaged with blessings of our families. All in a month's time. We are looking forward to get married in a few months.
For a successful match-making and a happy marriage, both partners should get the opportunity to communicate effectively and set the expectations right before making a decision.
