At the outset, I wish to thank and congratulate the great team work of Shaadi.com for creating such a informative Matrimonial websites for people like us who could reach from one corner of the world!
I am Dr. Shakila Khan Merchant, a Scientist from India who met Mr. Badruddin Merchant(an Engineer from Bombay, India, now settled in USA) of course through SHAADI.COM!!
We had an online interaction for almost an year when he finally got vacation to come to India and visit me and my family at Nagpur, India. We tied our nuptial knots on the INDEPENDANCE DAY OF INDIA in 2001, for a lifetime commitments. I am now in USA and very happy to have a very loving, understanding and caring life partner like Badruddin. And believe me it all happened becoz of Shaadi.com.
Many of us do feel and fear of various NET HAZARDS, and I do agree, but there are positive sides of every aspects, and SHAADI.COM is a real blessing for unmarried and singles...specially in this fast moving world of Information Technology.

Indeed a pleasant & wonderful feelings to Get ones life partner through the shaadi.com website we are amongst The fortunate few we (meaning) Madhusudan login ID:”kandadai” & Anuradha(Archana) Login ID : “ archu2000sq” . IT began with me (Madhu) registering with ur website & believe me from day 1 , I started getting responses , though some were vague . during browsing, I hit upon Archana’s profile and from here on we took off to a land of adventure & pleasant interactions . we started writing to each other as friends , after having liked each others profiles . & after few days , the chemistry worked and we were mutually pulled to meeting each other soon to decide our further course of actions .But from the beginning it was all with an agreement between us ---- “ No bonds attached or emotional feelings” what so ever it may be.I went to Banglore (Archana’s place of stay) from Hyderabad on the pretext of company work. We met shared our thoughts feelings, likes, dislikes and so on, & later met with our parents. So forth I did not think that all this would lead us this far that today we are engaged and our D-day has been fixed for 17th November 2002. This what happened its more like a filmi story. I got registered on shaadi.com & gave my very first Search Command...and then saw some profiles on the screen...Casually Clicked on a profile named "Snehali" ..n started the matrimonial correspondance ........ I was surprised to get reply in next 1 hours sent a mail acknowledging and believe again got a mail with her contact Number and on 5march afternoon 2:45pm I called her n fixed up a formal meeting at her residence on 6march with her parents..then i asked her to be to come to messenger for a chat.We Chaated and spoke over phone for hours and found that we are a perfect match for each other & were satisfied with our compatiblity which was already thru chat room.Things just took its positive way and In our Favour....I Informed my parents in India send her snap & got a response from my parents.My brother made this response a Positive one and then parents communicated over Phone n fixed up a meeting in India on 19June2002 & her Rokna was done on the same day she met my parents...and then 2 july 2002 was the date that got decided ..I flew down to India opn 27june 2002 we met and .got married on 2 July 2002..The Search on shaadi.com on 4 march2002 gave my life a better meaning & showed me the path to my better half & my destination..I wish to place our sincere gratitude to Shaadi.com & My Brother for giving our life a fresh life,fresh look and meaning and would be ever indebted .

Thanks for your congratulations, and many thanks to your www.shaadi.com team for their excellent job. The other member with whom I have tied knot is Pushpa (id= pushpa_mishra). She would be mailing you shortly if you so wish. I would be mailing you the photographs as soon as possible, depending on when I get to scan them.
Well, I approached her first, after seeing her profile through my eMatchmaker. That was somewhere in mid-2001. She mailed me back, as she was a paid member, and asked me for details. I had actually nothing more than the CV I use for professional purposes, so along with some horoscope related information, I mailed that one, and asked for some information about her. She too mailed her CV, and then onwards we were into casual mailing, when we found that we were quite compatible and getting along well with each other, we passed on the info to our respective parents. Then onwards, parents took charge of the entire thing, while we were still mailing, chatting, and fighting (last one, once in a while only, of course). Her father visited my home somewhere later in 2001, and then again in begining of this year; while my parents went once to her place during this period too.When it was OK for them, they got horoscopes matched, and then they went ahead to decide the formalities.
We were still on mails, and till March this year it wasn't clear when would we be actually meeting, though we had seen pics of each other through mails and voice-chatted a few times too. We, actually met too late, when I reached India, just a week before engagement. On May25th, I went to her place in Chennai. On 31st May we got engaged in Kanpur, and on 5th of June, we got married. Well, things went pretty fast after we actually met. So not much of events to tell.
One thing, that I would like to share about these relationships that are formed over long distance through net, is that there is a genuine need for understanding, patience, and a lots of trust. Because there are times, when you loose contact for quite sometime, and it is not always feasible to keep in touch through phones. And there are times when differences crop in. It all depends on, whether we are willing to give in to being kids still, or we are mature enough to take decisions on long term thinking. There are many differences in rituals etc. too, which need a simillar understanding on part of parents.
As we two secretly laugh at it being touted as a love marriage, calling it more of a fight marriage (because we fought a lot when mailing); we still know we loved each other too much all this while, and are still into it. It was a great thing to have come to this site, and honestly such a result was not expected so soon.
Many thanks to your team for such a great job. I am currently into promoting your site to my various friends who would now want to settle down.
