Vilasini & Himanshu (29 September 2007) Thank you so much, Shaadi.com for being the medium of Krishna's mercy! I found his profile by searching the keyword Krishna and contacted him. He immediately liked my profile, seeing that we had the common interest in Krishna as the "Ultimate Destination" and stopped looking for any others. We almost didn't meet because he simply created his profile and didn't log in for three months, so his account was deactivated. But when he got my contact in the JUNK mail (i shiver just to remember) he reactivated his account and became a paying member. He was in Canada and I was in Mexico so we started chatting and talking on the phone with great affinity. He was the nicest of the people with whom I had contact through shaadi.com. Such a gentle, understanding, giving nature. He taught me Hindi so patiently...What a doll! I would like to thank all contacts because they all taught me something and in some cases we became good friends, and to this day we remain in touch to discuss about Krishna. After about a year of knowing Himanshu we desperately wanted to meet, so I sneaked to Canada and our personal meeting was even more ecstatic than the talks. Deep down inside from our first contact I increasingly thought "this guy has the profile of a JIVANSATHI. Reliable, sweet, religious...We met twice in Canada. After that we found it more and more difficult to remain separated. Maybe he won't agree but I will say it was most difficult for ME. We started talking with our parents about getting married and it was a rocky road but finally they agreed. Our Gurudev was already positive regarding our relationship and marriage. In fact after meeting Himanshu, Gurudev told me he was impressed by the boy's sincerity and piety. Our parents were anxious about possible cultural differences but for us it was no issue because we both try to put Krishna in the center. On April 23 I flew to India for the first time and the wedding was programmed for the 30th. It was a most beautiful, long awaited occasion. Thanks to everyone who made this possible. Hare Krishna.
