Love stories happen in real life too. And not all love stories start with Boy meets Girl, sometimes they start with the Girl calling Boy :-) Atleast that is what happened in my life. No marriage without dating, or with someone from outside of USA, these were just few of the restrictions from a long list of 'bullet point' criteria I had on my mind and wrote even further detailed requirements on my profile. Now, this was an honest representation of who I might get along with, but it also served one other great purpose. It avoided me the awkwardness to decline the profiles of people who randomly sent 'Interest' without even reading my profile. But that was all then :-) One early morning, a girl with glamourous and charming voice said 'Hello' and though I was still half asleep trying to answer my phone, I knew this call was going to be special. We talked for hours on the first day. During which I came to know that she was from the other side of the world. Now I had two options 1, explore the opportunity or 2, close the door due to my pre-conceived restrictions. And since you are reading this in the success stories section, you know the option I chose. Well, she did not fit well on my criteria list ;) Ha ha ha, but needless to say that I fell for her regardless. She was cute and funny. But what I truly admired in her was that she was a dedicated family oriented person. So I moved forward, inch by an inch, till the moment I saw her. It was on Aug 27th 2011, at 5am at Mumbai Airport, where we met under heavy rain and lightening. I had to catch a train to my hometown and she was going to ride with me to the train station. Our Taxi broke in knee high water and right under this pouring rain, we had to get my luggage shift to an Auto Rickshaw and than, during entire Rickshaw journey, we sat on my luggage and tried to not get wet. Anyway, these events taught us something that we could tackle almost everything together. Now we are happily married and enjoying each and every moment together. Being married is not always fun but being married to someone you love is almost always joyful :) Thanks Shaadi.com to make it possible. Goodluck to all prospective matches!
