Bhavna & Ashish
Thanks for helping me find my prince charming. I have loved reading your success stories and never knew I would be writing my own some day.

I received an email from Ashish on May 2, 2005 (oh yes, I remember all the dates). I looked at his profile and saw his pictures. One thing had struck me were his eyes.

When we spoke, we liked each other instantly. I liked his simplicity and straight-forwardness. He is an MBA student at Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, while I was a resident physician in New York. He was coming to NY for his internship in investment banking over the summer; we met for the first time on May 21, 2005. I was post-call and came straight from the hospital in my scrubs to pick him up from the airport. I have to admit this that I fell in love with him the first time I saw him. My heart knew he is the one for me. May 21, 2005 has been the most memorable day of my life - just like a fairy tale. He showed me around the whole city and treated me like a princess. There was no looking back from then onwards. We kept in touch and came to meet each other every now and then.

Ashish went to Bangkok as an exchange student for about 4 months, which was the toughest period for us. Distance helped us know that it was true love and it was for keeps. Ashish visited India during that time and met my family as well. They all adored him and were so touched by simplicity and loving nature.

Ashish came back to the US on Mar 22, 2006 and came straight to see me on March 23 to Philadelphia. When I saw him, I was so happy, couldn't find words to express my happiness to finally see him after so long. He brought me lot of gifts. Eventually he surprised me by going on his knees with a ring and proposing to me. I was shocked and didn't answer. He had to ask me again when I finally said yes. The funny part is that I made him ask me 4 more times as I couldn't believe it, which he lovingly did.

After this the big question was when to get married. I was busy with my residency and Ashish was busy with completing his MBA and then starting his new job. I wasn't sure about my vacation. None of us wanted to wait much longer and we finally got married on Apr 7, 2006 in the Cook County Courthouse of Chicago. When we exchanged oaths, we both had tears in our eyes.

I am very happy to have gotten such a loving husband. We both are so much in love with each other. I think the key to a successful relationship is unconditional love, trust, good communication and always keeping the other person's wishes and desires above yours. Oh and yes, was key too! Thank you.

Bhavna & Ashish Team congratulates Bhavna & Ashish. We wish you both a happy future.
