I was a Premium member till 6th June 2007. I was searching for a suitable match under my very strict criteria and on 26th May I found her details on the site. I contacted her on phone, started conversations, and within 4-5 days I found that she is the person I was searching for last several years. Slowly, slowly I fell in love with her, then I proposed her, initially she agreed but later-on she resisted. But I didn't gave up, it took me about 8 months to make her and her parents agree. Her parents also rejected me because of my financial position but when they realized that I am the person who can make their daughter happy for the life time, they called my mother and me for final talks (either for acceptance or for rejection). I went to their place at Ahmednagar on 13th January 2008, with full arrangements for marriage and suddenly while conversation everything got fixed and we got married within next 2 days i.e. on 15th of January, 2008.

I inserted my profile on many other web sites but no where found a single match within my restricted terms and conditions, except for shaadi.com

I don't know and I dint have words on how to thank you all for giving me the person of my dreams.

I know, thank you is just a small word against what I found, but I have no other words to thank you, Thank you very much.

I would like to register once again on Shaadi.com after few years..

First of all ,we want to thank the entire team of Shaadi.com. Actually through Shaadi.com only this proposal came almost a year back ,but for unknown reasons ,nothing could materialize between us. Again Fahima's sister contacted me and then her parents visited us and we met on October 27,2007 and with the grace of Allah we got married on December 05,2007.

Once again we wanna thanks to Shaadi.com .Only suggestion i want to make is that Shaadi.com should do something to ascertain that only genuine profiles are created and it should have some checks and balances.

Well, both of us weren't sure wether to use this site or not, but thought we'd give it a go in our own separate ways. I was browsing through many profiles for 2weeks and nothing was appealing to me. Until one day I decided to cancel my account, by then i came across profile who blew me away!lol. everything I read about him was wot I wanted.
anyway, I sent a message hoping he would get back to me, which I was very pleased he did. we emailed each other for some time just to get to know each other a bit more and the more i got to know him, the more i liked him. I was very sure that this was the one.i had a gut feeling it was all going to happen and then family basically got involved and decided to take things forward. It's actually quite ironic. They say its a small world, for sure it is!! it just so happened to be that both our families knew each other from donkeys years. they lost contact due to moving houses and now reunited thanks to shaadi! everybody was quite overwhelmed with the turn out. so not only did you match two couples together, you have actually brought two long lost families together aswell! that's brilliant.
so anyway, wedding formalities are pending. engagement date and wedding date have not been fixed yet. hopefully soon. so we're both glad that we came on shaadi now. its all happening for us.

Well......In all honesty, Omar and I have known of each other for a few years now.
We met in 2005 through a few mutual friends. We really hit it off, and both our feelings of attraction were blatantly obvious but,circumstances at the time meant it would be best not to keep in touch. I had thought of him often but fate and timing just didn't seem to want to work together.I know now what destiny had in mind three years on.
I was viewing profiles recently and one kind of shone out above the rest. I didn't express any interest in it,but thought it sounded too much like Omar for my liking.
The very next day, I got a call on my mobile, It was Omar.
My heart stopped for a few seconds, I felt dizzy and light headed all at once, Where my ears deceiving me?? No they were not.
Omar had seen my profile name in the list of members visiting his profile, He told me that after he had read it, he realised in his heart that it was mine,he took the decision to ring me and the rest is, as they say chemistry.
We met the very next day, Hours after first getting in touch again in fact!
He drove down from Nottingham, all the way to South End on Sea, a three hour journey for most, but for an eagerly impatient Romeo ( not that I wasn't impatient myself! lol!) one and a half hours!
We sat, we talked, we gazed into each others eyes with overwhelming love flowing through both of us and then it happened....We came nearer, He held me close in a loving embrace and then came loves first,true,tender,loving and lingering kiss. I went weak at the knees!
We both felt like we couldn't be without each other any longer, so we both approached our parents ( who funnily enough know each others families through other close knit circles ), set a date, and had our Nikkah read.
It was a small,quiet and peaceful affair as we both wished.
When you've been through what we both have in our lives, a wedding is just a formality, intended to bring together two hearts,minds and souls, but in our situation, we were already beating as one, entwined in each other. It is more powerful than any electro magnetic field.
From the depth of both our hearts, we immensely thank all the hard working and dedicated staff at Shaadi.com and wish you all the best, You are the ones that made this happen, and for all those hopeful,singletons out there, remember there is someone for everyone, stay hopeful and keep looking, you never know, sometimes a blast from your own past could blow you right off your feet!

Well Sunil expressed interest watching my profile, then even I liked his profile. We check for horoscope match. It matched. Then Sunil's father called us at their home to meet for the first time. We met and our vibes matched..
so we again met couple of time ..in cafe, for lunch and brunch. then finally they decided to come over to my home. Still we wanted to knowmore about each other.We kept meeting and finally decided and thought came that yes"we are made for each other".
So finally elders met decided the dates, and finally 8th Dec2007 we got engaged & the big day is on 3rd Feb 2008@ Mumbai.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
My name is Manoj and I live in USA. After reading so many success stories in Shaadi, I decided to give a try myself. And guess what, today I am SUCCESS story myself. Now my wife, Ruby sends me invite in Shaadi to accept her. I see her picture and I was like WOW she is gorgeous. Did she really looked at my picture carefully or what. Being so excited I accepted her invitation and also wrote her small message as well. Later on I realized that it actually spelled out RUBY. Clever I tell you.
Days passed and there was no response. I thought why not forget about it and move on. So I deleted her profile from my list. Next day I get another invitation from her with message stating that she wasn't expecting anything so fast in response from me. From then we started chatting through messenger and then emailing each other. Finally I asked her for her phone number. Surprisingly, on the same day she was thinking of asking me my phone number as well, disregarding that we live on the opposites sides of world. We would talk for long nights and sometimes nights will turn into days. Things I liked about her was that she was born in Germany so she could relate herself with western culture and since 17 years of age, she was residing in India meant that she knows her background as Indian meant. Sort of fusion between Western and Eastern culture. She has a good understanding about things. Independent, mature and has a sense of humor. We hit it off very well.
It went on for good 2-3 months. Finally we told our parents about how we felt for each other. Our parents talked to each other’s parent and it was decided to get married. I still remember the first time I went to see her at her house. I was so nervous and shaking. After a while we were given a chance to talk to each other privately. Facing each other sitting there on sofa, I was shaking like jackhammer and she was calm and cool as cucumber. Why? I still don’t know but do get good laugh thinking about it. Well on Nov 19th 2007 the special day came when we got each other for ever. I love you Ruby.
