    • Hello! What to say... I've decided with Shaadi for now as I would like to get to know a potential marriage match without random members of family sitting around with samosas and cha (though I am a fan of both Cha and Samosas:). I like socialising, going out, theatre, cinema and generally chilling out with friends. Love food both eating and cooking, to travel and try new things.
      I did an undergraduate in social sciences in the midlands and then did a postgraduate in teaching up North. I’ve ended up staying here as it’s a great place and found a job here. My folks live in the midlands and I’m regularly there seeing family and friends.
      I work as a teacher in a secondary School which I enjoy, every day is different and the young people I work with keep me on my toes. The holidays are definitely needed and allow me to travel and discover new things. Last summer I was in South East Asia which was amazing, I hope to travel Central/Latin America next summer.
      My taste in music is a varied and eclectic ranging from RnB, hip hop to bhangra and indie. Like cinema more Hollywood than Bollywood but I’m sure I could be persuaded by the right person to sit through 3 hours of dancing.
      I would describe myself as being pro Sikhi and a spiritual person. Granted I don’t currently practise but have been raised in a devoted yet liberal household and Sikh values have helped me develop my morals and values. Caste isn’t really an issue though for the sake of not rocking the boat I think being Jat would certainly make for an easier life. I do value my Punjabi culture/heritage and I would like to think I take the best of it with western values applying them to my life.
      I mentioned travel earlier and it’s something I’d like to do a whole lot of in the future. I think this would depend on a future partner wanting to share the experience of seeing the world and of course being in tune with the person you’re travelling with.
      Qualities in a partner she should be kind, caring and considerate. Hmmm may have to come back and add more to this.
      I currently live away from my folks though visit regularly. I love my independence and enjoy my life away. Though in the future I would want to move back as I think family life would be great with a friendly and sociable partner.

      My dad tends to spend half the year in the UK and the other in Punjab loooking after my Grandmother. My mum works part time and does as much seva as she can at the local Gurdwara. My sister is one of my best friends she is happily married to a great brother in law. My brother is a Legal proffesional.
