We hope this finds you in good health and spirits. We are sharing some family background and a description of our daughter below. My wife and I are teachers, residing in Amritsar, Punjab after traveling across the country while our respective fathers were serving in the army. Our family is an eclectic mixof cultures and religions. While my father was from Kerala and mother was from Goa, my wife's parents were from Punjab. Both our children were born and brought up in Amritsar as Catholics, grounded in Goan culture as I don't have relatives in Kerala.
Given below is what our daughter has to say about herself:
"Thanks for taking the time to go through this. It's pretty tough to present a verbal description of oneself that is interesting enough to initiate a correspondence. I guess this is the virtual version of Love at first sight !!! Anyway here goes...... I'm a psychologist by profession, with a Catholic father and a mother who practices Sikhism, I'm a... more truly secular person whom friends describe as loyal, caring, passionate about work and having a wicked sense of humor. I value honesty as I believe that it is the foundation for any relationship to survive. My priorities lie towards my family, friends, my education and my work. I believe in being passionate about what I do, giving it my best shot and leaving the rest to God. This is what helped me to complete my M.Phil degree in Psychology. I love to read, everything from fiction to autobiographies, I just love books; I find cooking agreat way to unwind and also love designing costume jewelry, though I don't get much time for it since I started working.I am, however, making time to learn to play the guitar fulfilling a childhood dream as well as pursue a short certificate course in interior design.
My parents are teachers and their passion for children and education can be seen in the way they are still successfully running a small school started by my grandparents. My younger brother is an artist (completed his Masters in Fine Arts recently) and is working as an art teacher in a school, a visiting teacher for the University's Architecture department and also finds time to do freelance work.
I am searching for someone who understands, is kind, caring; supportive so that each helps the other to grow as an individual and aspire for whatever we dream of. I want to be a part of a relationship that helps us to grow roots and also lets us soar high, where we can share everything, small or big, mature or childish, funny or serious, whatever it is, it will be accepted. I'd like to be with someone who isn't afraid of expressing his feelings, even if we're in the middle of a road, I know I'm not afraid to do so ! That's the incurable, unconventional romantic in me ! A spirit of adventure, sense of humor, ability and/or passion for cooking would be wonderful in the guy I'm searching for.(Hope this isn't just wishful thinking and that such guys really exist out there !)
I'm currently working in the beautiful state of Goa, have traveled over some parts of the country thanks to my work and lets see where the road leads next !That's the adventurous me speaking.
Adios n Good Luck in your search. "
