Sridhar is our older son. He has a lot of positive energy around him and cheers up any room he enters. This coupled with the fact that he has so many interests and is so well read, life with him is always exciting.
He loves to travel and experience the world. When touring Europe with us - he decided we should all rent bikes and bike around. So, after 15 years - I got on a bicycle. I was amazed at the fun we had. He is always challenging himself and us at every step, but I am not sure how or when but somewhere in the last 4 years we went from being his teachers to being his students.
He has great love of learning and a creative knack for storytelling. Even while still in school, he took several opportunities to work on films and TV shows for NBC in Los Angeles and UTV in Mumbai.
Sridhar was born in India, and moved to the US when he was very young, but the experience of spending time with family and working in India throughout his life has kept him connected to his heritage and roots. He still speaks Hindi quite well as we are more North Indian in our way of life but knows the Sanskrit slokas that we recite. He is more spiritual than religious or ritualistic.
He is respected and valued both by his co-workers and his friends. And though he is very easy going, he has strong morals, and deep sense of duty to both his family and community. He is an Eagle Scout meaning that he achieved the highest rank in boy scouts. This entails learning a number of skills from life saving to problem solving as well as leadership. After finishing school he went on to put these skills to use as Squad Leader and Forward Observer in the US Army Reserves.
His attitude is always to never to cry over spilt milk but to pick up and go forward. He is currently pursuing his masters with Harvard University (part-time), and is quickly growing accustomed to the roles and responsibilities of a first time homeowner as well.
Sridhar is a US Citizen and currently works for a top-level engineering and defense company near Washington DC. He is a very loyal, joyful, and caring son, and we hope to find someone with the same values and spirit as him.
He would like to talk to the girl before deciding anything but has left the initial process of finding his soul mate to his parents and grandparents.
