My brother is about to finish his residency and is set to move to Ohio in the middle of 2014 where he plans to do his fellowship in Cardiology. He was a doctor in the UK for almost 6 years before moving to the US. He was born in India and moved abroad when he was about 25. He is handsome and extremely grounded. Funny comes naturally to us -- and it's good to keep the laughter going. We do come from a very liberal family with a strong value system. We also come from a reasonably affluent family but believe in simple living. Father is a renowned cardiologist in India. He used to be in the Army and most of our upbringing has been within the army confines. Mother is currently a homemaker but is involved in community social work. I also work in Houston in the oil and gas industry. Our family hails from Santiniketan, W Bengal and my grandfather and Uncle were both professors in Mathematics and Chemistry in Santiniketan and Princeton respectively. While the family certainly has... more erudite credentials, I would not expect too much of bro (jk - just kidding)
Outside of work and family, he loves to play golf, tennis, likes to read, and watch movies. He used to play classical violin long time back but stopped at some point. So we are hoping his partner could rekindle his interest in the instrument. But I would not vouch for his current skills as a violinist. All said and done -- I could go on an on -- but long story short he is a stand up guy with good professional credentials and personal interests. All he is lacking at the moment is a partner who can hold his hand and walk through the ups and downs of life and I hope this search leads us to that person. Rest assured you will be family :)
PS: Ideally he'd really prefer to meet someone who was raised in India and lives in the US, but when there is love and friendship, nothing matters, yes ? Needless to say we are very interested and serious, so while we do prefer that the two meet and get to know each other, we are certainly looking to firm up something as soon as possible and agreeable to both.
