I work in New York City, as a software engineer for a web company. I recently relocated from Philadelphia where I was a grad student at Penn.I took the journey that many Indian kids often took with their families - travel through a middle eastern country, then back home to India and then to the Americas. I spent far too long focusing on career and school for the last few years, instead of looking for my better half.
I grew up (for the most part) in Canada, so I'm looking for someone who preferably has been raised in North America, with good connections to his family. I mostly enjoy someone who loves to have to have a good conversation and keep things as simple as possible.
I love my job but I try to maintain healthier activities outside the office - either cooking or talking a walk across NY. My most enjoyable moments are hanging out with close friends/family as we break bread and enjoy life.
My parents are both professionals and working in... more Canada. My father is a software architect, working, and has some of his own personal ventures in IT. My mother is a finance professional. My brother is a doctor working in Sydney, Australia.
From my parents (who mostly man this page for me):
We are an educated family hailing from ancient families in Central Kerala and settled in Canada . We are proud of our Indian heritage, and are open minded, with modern outlooks, liberal values, and respect for all religion, caste and culture. While moderately religious, we give more importance to spiritual beliefs, personal values, education, knowledge, intellect, and respect for all the planet.
