Originally from Toronto, I spent a good chunk of time in the Midwest (Illinois) before moving to the west coast a few years ago (Portland, OR), and down to Phoenix most recently. Figured it was time for me to experience a warm winter :-) When I'm not working, you'll find me with delicious food (eating or attempting to make), at the airport boarding or deplaning, spending time with family and friends or working at crossing things off of my Bucket List. (There's a lot on it, but to give you an idea it includes skydiving, learning how to drive stick, traveling the world, sitting courtside at a game, catching a fish... ) My newest project involves adopting a healthy lifestyle without giving up the fun. Challenge accepted. Loves: my sweats AND my dresses, losing track of time because I'm enjoying the moment, chivalry, learning new things/becoming better at things I already know and awesome people. Dislikes: Burpees (but they're so good for you!), bland food, raisins in my oatmeal cookies and lack of response.
If you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, that's fine, but if you don't care to learn it, that could be an issue. You can take me home to your family or out with your crew and I'll get along with both as well as the other. I "sing along" to rap, you can throw me around to salsa or two step and I can turn around and bust out the Bollywood/Bhangra/garba without missing a beat. I will order dessert, live sports always trump tv that you can watch on Hulu (except golf or tennis--unless you can show me the light) and I make wishes at 11:11 and 12:34. Come correct, with an open mind and be respectable and I will do the same.
I'm the kind of girl who enjoys spending time at home, either curled up on the couch with my Netflix or ESPN or in the kitchen, experimenting with a new dish. But before you call me a homebody, I'm just as happy to go out and try a new restaurant or watch a show or better yet--give me a little bit of room and some good music, and I'll dance and "sing" the night away. I'm a Jane of all trades, master of none--yet. (Except maybe Taboo--trust me, you'll want me on your team for that. And for Dance Central on the Kinect. And if you're playing my new fave game, Cards Against Humanity, I'm in. For everything else, whatever I lack in skill, I make up for in spirit. )
If you've read this much and have nodded your head in agreement, shook it in feigned frustration or, dare I say, cracked a smile or even laughed, we might get along. As terrifying as it might sound, send me a message--you've got nothing to lose and possibly everything to gain.
