In their own words
    • About me : I was born and brought up in Mumbai. I passed out as an
      Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer in 2005 but because of a strong
      family background in mathematics (My father is a mathematician and my
      mother is the head of the mathematics department in St. Xaviers college,
      Mumbai) I had a strong inclination towards mathematics right from the
      start. I did my M. Sc and Ph. D in mathematics from Tata Institute of
      Fundamental Research, Mumbai which is the best research institute
      in India for mathematics. I am currently pursuing a one year visiting position at the International Center for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy. I
      wish to come back to India after that and join a research institute, most
      likely in Mumbai. I have a younger sister who is an IT Engineer currently
      working in Pune.
      On the non-professional side, I am a fun loving person with a good sense
      of humor (or at least so I am credited for !). I have a wide variety of
      interests which include sports (especially Badminton and volleyball),
      travelling, trekking (I have been a frequent visitor to the Himalayas),
      restaurants etc. For almost one year I also learnt some Salsa dances.

      Expectations : A pleasant person with whom I can share the joys of life.
      Preferably one whose hobbies/interests are similar to mine. She should be a rationalist. Finally, I would like to leave the choice of working or not to her.
