As-Salaam-Alaikum:
We would appreciate only serious enquiries.
My parents emphasized the importance of family values, respecting elders, forgiving young ones, and understanding our peers, being compassionate and honest, and above all, being a good Muslim at heart. We come from a good family where dating, drinking, smoking, clubbing, etc, have never been any part of our lives and upbringing.
Education: Two Bachelors: BS Child Learning and Development and BS Neuroscience, and minors in: Political Science, English, and Psychology. Starting Medical school in July 2013
Hobbies: Reading, writing, listening to music, watching comedies, action movies, enjoying stimulating conversations, healthy debates, hanging out with friends, and most importantly, laughing and appreciating life.
Close-knit family, Islamic-upbringing, all family members and most
extended family members are settled throughout US and UK; strong ties to
community, very respectful family; father used to be a business man,
mother is a homemaker, older sister is married, older brother is
pursuing CPA, younger sister will be attending Law School.
Please note: While family is very important, so is having a good education. For the first two years, relocation will not be possible, but third and fourth year rotations can be done at different states--a long distance relationship can work and more details can be discussed later.
In my sister's own words:
*My dedication to becoming a doctor is genuinely to help people and inshAllah one day make a lot of money to help contribute to an orphanage in Pakistan. I wear a hijab (some people may already have judgements on that, but to me, it symbolizes modesty) and have lived a pretty straight forward life but hope to one day travel the world, experience new things (all within the realms of Islam), and enjoy and actually live this rare dream called LIFE =) I grew up in NY, lived my ENTIRE life in America with some visits to Karachi, Pakistan, have performed Umrah (Alhumdullilah) have incredible friends, socialize and get along with EVERYONE, I am very open-minded and accepting of different people, I don't judge others and I don't like to be judged either. I am one of those people others trust very easily and I don't let them down---I have had to overcome quite a few hardships due to my father's medical condition, but that has made me stronger in the long run and taught me well how to juggle school and life.
May Allah guide us all in finding the most suitable match,
JazakAllah
