Personality, Family Details, Career, Partner Expectations etc.
    • Hello!
      This is my first time going online to talk about myself, but here goes!
      I'm a quirky 26 year old girl with plenty of hobbies. Some of my likes:
      Cooking and baking: I'm always up for trying new vegan/vegetarian recipes. I'm still working on a way to make an egg-free cheesecake. But my everyday cooking is usually something Indian.
      Hiking: I loved the trails when I visited in WA. I just moved to CA, so I plan on checking out new trails here.
      Crafts, like knitting and jewelry making: I imagine that these will not be activities I share in common with you, but they are quite amenable to conversations.
      Write, and read. I really, really love to read. In this world of e-books, I still will carry around 3 library cards. My favorite books are mostly written between the late 1700s to the early 1900s (The trajectory goes from Jane Austen to Dickens and Gaskell to Wodehouse for fun and giggles). I also enjoy well-written fantasy literature, such as Lord of the Rings, or Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.

      I'm not really into the drinking and clubbing scene, but am otherwise up for anything. I grew up learning Bharatanatyam and Karate, and now I'd like to learn Bhangra and fencing, perhaps with some good company (like you!).

      Work-wise, I'm a pediatrics resident working in CA. It keeps me extraordinarily busy, but I could not imagine doing another job. Kids + science+ occasional research = win. I may consider pursuing a fellowship after my residency is completed.

      Having grown up in a very tight-knit Indian family in the USA, I feel that I blend traditional Indian values with my American background. I value both sides of this culture that I've grown up with, and would prefer someone with a similar background.

      I'm looking for someone who is kind and even-tempered, with liberal values, but who enjoys a sarcastic and even dorky sense of humor. Someone who likes to travel, enjoys geekery and nerdiness, and intelligent and nonsensical conversations. In the end, my ideal match should be someone who is open to new ideas, and with whom I could consequently grow as a person. If this might be you, I'd love to learn more.
