    • My son (born on 7 January 1985 at 1244 hours in Kolkata) is fair, handsome & of amicable disposition. He has been exceptionally bright right from his childhood. He was a KVPY Scholar (instituted by the Indian Institute of Science) & had also won several prizes in National level Maths Olympiad.

      After his B. Tech (Mech) from IIT, Kharagpur in 2006 he had joined Johns Hopkins University, Baltomore, Maryland as a research associate & received his M. S. in 2008 & completed his Ph. D. this year. Presently, he is in a senior position carrying attractive pay & perks in a globally networked Research Company & posted at Texas.

      He also evinces keen & active interest in music, sports & literature.

      We belong to a reputed family with good educational & cultural background, originally from Comilla, East Bengal.

      l have 2 children. The elder, my daughter had done her B. Sc. (Physics Hons) followed by M. C. A. & was a successful professional both before & for some time after her marriage but is presently a home maker. My son-in-law is an IIT-an working in Schlumberger & presently posted at Dubai. My children & son-in-law are good natured, compassionate & of refined and sophisticated taste.

      We are 4 brothers & 2 sisters, all of them as also their children are well settled in life, some in different parts of India & others abroad.

      My father was in a transferable job in Survey of India & I was born in Dehradun. My eldest sister, an M. A. (Eng) & B. Ed. was a senior teacher in Baroda & her husband an executive in ONGC. They are settled in Baroda. Their only son, a B. E. (Mech), M. B. A. is also in ONGC.
      My elder brother had retired from Rourkela Steel Plant& is settled there. His son had studied in IIT, Delhi & IIM, Bangalore & is settled in US. His daughter had studied architecture from Delhi School of Planning & Architecture and had done M. S. from US & she is also settled in USA.
      My second brother was in a senior position in IFFCO. His elder daughter is a Doctor practising in Kolkata & is married to a Doctor while the younger one is a trainee lawyer.
      My elder sister has been in US since 1985. Her husband had done M. E. (Elec. & Telcom) from Jadavpur University & is one of the founders of a very successful company based in Atlanta. Their son, an engineer is very well employed in California and the daughter is pursuing Ph. D. in Atlanta.
      I am the third among the brothers, was a student of Physics to begin with but had subsequently done M. B. A. from FMS, Univ. of Delhi. I had started my career as a Probationary Officer in SBI & had later moved on to Reserve Bank where I am presently a General Manager. I have a flat in Golf Green & plan to settle down in Kolkata.
      My younger brother is an Admin. Officer in National Insurance & his only daughter is studying for her graduation in Kolkata.
      My wife is a 1st class M. Sc. (Physics) from Jadavpur Univ. but chose to be a homemaker because of my transferable job. Her father was Manager of Hicks Thermometer. Her mother was a senior teacher in a school. Her only sister had done her M. A. in Sanskrit & is married to a Civil Engineer (M. E. ) who has since retired from HUDCO. Their only daughter as also their son-in law, both had done M. C. A. from Jadavpur Univ
