      Hope you are doing well!I, myself, (born in Pune, Maharashtra... Mother Tongue- Marathi).

      Education: B.E. in Information Technology Engineering (Pune University)

      MBA (University of Rochester, William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration)

      CFA Level1 (CFA Institute)

      G-2 level in German Language from Maxmueller Bhavan (Pune).

      Job: Currently working in Ernst & Young (New York City) as a Senior Associate in Management Consulting (in the Credit Risk Advisory space)

      I did my schooling from St. XavierÂ’s High School, Kolhapur. After that, I pursued my engineering in Information Technology from the University of Pune (Pune Vidyarthi GrihaÂ’s College of Engineering and Technology). I worked for 5 years in HSBC of which I spent approximately 1.5 years in HSBC Chicago. In HSBC, I worked in software development before embarking on my MBA since I had an interest in financial markets.

      I got my MBA from the University of Rochester (William E. Simon Graduate School of Business) which is one of the top tier business schools in U. S. and globally. Also, the business school ranks in top 5 in world when it comes to Finance, Accounting, and Economics. I have been lucky to learn from professors who are pioneers in Finance and who provide consulting services to some big clients on Wall Street. I am also pursuing CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation to enhance my learning (just cleared CFA Level 1 exams).

      I also completed couple of levels of German Language Certification (G-Eins and G-Zwei) from Maxmueller Bhavan (Pune).

      I am also a sports buff (more on the playing side). During my school/college days, I represented St. XavierÂ’s at the district level in table-tennis. I have won couple of table-tennis tournaments when I was working for HSBC and have also represented the firm in many inter-IT (Information Technology) tournaments. I was also in the soccer team during my stay with HSBC (Have played more, studied/worked less :) ). Unfortunately, due to my work commitments, sport has taken a backseat.

      Till recently (close to 10 months), I worked for a middle-market firm called CIT Group (part of Fortune 500Â…located in New York) in the Credit Risk Analytics domain. Recently, I joined Ernst & Young in Management Consulting role (in the Credit Risk Advisory space). My work involves domestic (and very occasional international) travel and it mainly concerns working for financial clients and providing them insight about the regulations affecting the US financial industry.

      I enjoy watching TV shows and movies and also like to cook as and when time permits. I am in the thick of things when it comes to planning out trips/vacations with my friends or exploring some of the places to hang out. However, I sometimes also like to ‘shut out’ myself from all external activities (especially when there are too many of them) and like to spend a quiet weekend all by myself.
