Seeking a partner who is curious about the world, intelligent, & well-rounded. I did both my bachelors and master's degrees from ivy league universities. I would want my future partner to have at least the same level of education as myself. Location should not be an issue for myself or for my partner (I have lived in 5 countries and have no idea where I will end up one day!). I would describe myself as being dependently independent in so far as I can take care of myself (I cook a lot!) but I also value my family and will depend on my future partner for support throughout my life. In return, I am a caring and supportive woman with traditional values but a modern outlook.

When I'm not working or cooking I am keeping up with family and friends, whether they be close by or far away. I also lead an active lifestyle (I have been known to run 10Ks) and was a dance instructor for 2 years in NYC. At the same time, at the end of the week, I like to take it easy, relax, and simply enjoy life. I don't expect to find a partner who is exactly like me, and that's not what I would want, either. I envision ultimately spending the better years of my life with someone who challenges me, who inspires me, and who completes me.

I also want to add something here as a footnote. I'm not exactly south Asian. So why am I on this website you ask??? because I believe that the "western" model of relationships is broken. My parents have been happily married for more than 40 years and I believe that a relationship based upon a common core of beliefs and values, further encouraged by familial support, is of the utmost importance for its success. All of my life I have been raised with an emphasis on family, education, and religion. For me today, this translates into understanding the importance of family and those who love you, making the most out of every opportunity to learn, and to have an open mind while clinging to a solid foundation of beliefs and core values.

Mostly nuclear family. Strong emphasis on respecting parents and elders. Raised in a mixed Christian and Jewish home with values from both. My parents live in Los Angeles and my brother and his wife live in Washington, D. C. We are a close-knit family, despite not always being in the same geographic location. Due to work, I am currently splitting my time between Los Angeles and Argentina (Buenos Aires).
