Wow what do I say about myself? First off, my name is Ruchira... I grew up in upstate NY in a wonderful town called Clifton Park... went to college at Rutgers in NJ and now I live and work here at a pharmaceutical company as a Project Leader...

I'm basically a very down-to-earth girl and very outgoing... I love people and am completely drawn to them... my family is everything to me and you'll somehow always see me with one relative or another... I'll do anything for my friends and love meeting new people to make more... children are what makes my heart melt so be sure to find me chilling with the kiddies hehe :-)
Music is a passion of mine and I love everything from Hindi to Rock to Carnatic to Hip-Hop to Hindustani to R&B to Fusion to Pop... I play the piano and am constantly jamming with my cousins and friends doing random fusion-esque material... I love to dance... and I'm a huge sports fan, especially football... I'm a proud Giants fan... oh and I'm obsessed with "Friends" so I'll probably randomly quote an episode in a conversation that we may have hehe... :-)

The kind of guy I'm looking for... hmmm... well if we're gonna start off with the physical traits, I have to warn you that I am "freakishly tall" as my friend would say haha... yeah I'm 5'7" so my ideal guy should be taller than me please... :-) Besides an obvious mutual physical attraction, I just want someone who will compliment me... someone who is family-oriented, cultured, has a great sense of humor, motivated with a good head on his shoulder, and just an overall easy-going guy...

I'm an only child, extremely close to both of my parents... they live in Upstate NY and I go home once a month to see them...

My father was brought up in Bangalore and is the youngest of 8 children. The family shuttled between Hyderabad & Bangalore, therefore Telugu is a 2nd language. My paternal grandfather was a lawyer but left his practice to open an antiquarian book store which is now run by my uncle. My father has been living in the US for over 30 years and currently works at Computer Sciences Corp as an Operations Manager.
My mother was brought up in Bangalore and has an older and a younger brother. She spent her HS/College years in Delhi, therefore Hindi is another language I am familiar with. My maternal grandfather was the Inspector General of Police in the 1970's. My mother was a teacher in India, came to US over 25 years ago and currently works at General Electric as a Benefits Specialist.
