I passed out from a convent school in Delhi. did my B. Com(Hons. )from Delhi university and completed my MBA. Since then I have been working with a global market research firm

Gitannjali's paternal grandparents were from Chottogram and maternal grandparents(Mittra) were from Khulna. Our family has been settled in New Delhi since 1942.

I am (her father)currently working with a nationalized bank, her mother is a post graduate from delhi university, was working earlier though currently a homemaker and freelancing in the area of creative arts.
Other relatives are well educated and doing well professionally. Most of them are settled in Delhi, Pune, Calcutta, Bangalore, UK and USA.
