To introduce myself, I would say that I am a down to earth girl next door. I am frank, honest, responsible and a good listener. I believe in independence of thought and respect the same in others. I believe in building lasting friendships and thrive on quality time spent with family and friends.
I have a curious mind, always a willing explorer. I can spend much time researching something as silly as frothing milk for cappuccino and something dead serious like the word 'twee'.
Like to keep life interesting, tried a free fall at skydiving and tried not to fall over when rafting. Ventured to learn Spanish and tried hard but gave up on the discipline of kathak and salsa.
In my spare time I love to get absorbed in a book, replacing oxygen with a really good cup of coffee. Or tune into Pandora for bluesy rock or grunge and time travel. Am afraid of developing a serious case of road rage but love my time behind the wheel while I am still moving :) Am still in the radio age, where I get withdrawal symptoms if deprived of music, like to listen to rock, hip hop as well as news talk. I enjoy going out and meeting people just as much as staying home and watching a movie or a basketball game (go Mavericks!) or maybe even good old cartoons.
Have found it essential to make time for events and organizations supporting children with special needs. Have a genuine interest in religion and deep respect for spirituality.
Am looking for someone who shares my enthusiasm about life, makes room for my ideas just as I would for his, has integrity. and since I am asked to make a list, would add intelligent, witty, practical and fun loving.. hopefully not too much to ask for!! But really am looking for someone with whom I can feel at home wherever life takes us, someone who knows when to take life seriously, and more importantly, when not to. If it sounds a little bit like you (or a lot) - lets talk!
Oh and about the generics, grew up in Bombay, came to US early ?98. Have been working as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. Have a bunch of enthusiastic friends around me who have become my family and without whom life would not be half as interesting.
My parents are in Bombay, dad is in business and mom manages the home front. Have a younger brother whose sense of humour keeps us going, has proved himself an adorable guy. We couldnt be any closer! Miles really dont make a difference and I dont see myself surviving without this lifesupport!
