I'm a third year medical student in Atlanta. I was born and raised in GA w/ lots of trips to India, and I still visit as often as possible. I have two dogs, who are basically my children. I am quite outspoken, honest, and frank, so if you ask, I will tell you what I really think. I try my best to be as open-minded as possible and to respect people's differences, whether I agree or not.
I really want to travel all over the world, a dream trip would be to hike the Himalayas or trek through central America.
I can cook pretty well, both Indian and other dishes, and I'm very family-oriented. My dad's from AP, and my mom's from Karnataka. I am very fluent in Kannada and am trying to learn Telugu. I would love to learn Hindi, and took a semester of it in undergrad, but right now, I have to stick to movies w/ subtitles.
I'm not looking to get married right this moment, but also no longer date people who don't have long-term potential. My best friend is already married and just had her first child, so it's time for me to at least get more serious.
I'm looking for a laid-back, caring, open-minded guy, who's well-educated and ambitious, as am I. I look at marriage as a partnership, and I want someone who sees it the same way, someone who respects me and my opinion and believes in compromise. Basically, I want someone who is as committed as I am. I would prefer someone who was has been in the US for a long time and is well acclimated here. He must love dogs because I will always have at least one.
