Overall, I'm an independent, active, outgoing, open-minded and successful young professional.
I have been living and working near Boston, MA for a few years since I finished college as a design engineer. I'm pretty entrepreneurial, I recently started a small company with a friend and spend a good deal of my free time working to make it grow. (I haven't quit my day job yet)
I grew up all over the place. I was born in India and lived there for a short while. My family moved to the states about 18 years ago. I'm lucky enough to be able to speak accent free English and Gujarati, which really confuses people sometimes. In the US, I've lived in New Jersey, Georgia and now Massachusetts. Even though I love warm weather, the amazing people, institutions, and companies have managed to keep me in Boston for a while!
I'm pretty easy to get along with and have a very diverse group of friends. I'm usually up for any type of activity as long as the company is good. It doesn't matter if it's with just a handful of people or a whole crowd.
I wouldn't call myself a religious person, but I really do value many of our traditions. Not for the sake of observing them but instead because most of them are founded on a good deal of social intelligence.
My personality is fairly light-hearted on the surface. I don't let small things bother me and in a meeting or a crowd, I'm usually the first one to be make everyone laugh and realize that things might not be as serious as they appear. I do also enjoy spending some alone time every few days or so to look at things seriously and to get focused.
My ambition doesn't lie in following a career track or such but instead in realizing that we have the freedom to shape the world and our lives as we see fit. I am looking for someone who shares that sentiment to share the rest of my life with. I don't want to rush anything but instead to take the time to meet and actually see if there is the right fit.
Oh interests! I love being physically active: I play soccer at least once a week and try to ride my bike around on the weekends and evenings. I'd always rather be playing a sport than watching it on TV. I also do follow along with all of the new electronic gadgets and toys that come out (it's mostly for my job but I also do enjoy it quite a bit). I have zero musical talent except listening and finding good bands. I've always wanted to become a better photographer but I think I'll have to find some time to dedicate to it later. Also: Traveling (then again, is there anyone who doesn't like seeing new and interesting places?).
