Ok, so this is the part that I hate doing... talking about myself as I am a firm believer of people forming their own opinions of others. Nevertheless, I'll give it a go! I would describe myself as confident, outgoing, friendly and caring. I would say that I'm someone that's down-to-earth and pretty grounded too. I like to go out and see friends for coffee or dinner and I enjoy travelling, trying new things and I love to read, (have just finished reading, The Historian, by Elizabeth Kostova which was fantastic and am currently reading, A Suitable Boy, by Vikram Seth and I thoroughly recommend it!). I also love to cook! I am forever hosting dinner parties and cooking a new cuisine is always a fun thing to do! At the moment, I am trying to cook Bengali dishes like all the bengali ammas and aunti-jis out there.... it's pretty tough getting that exact authentic taste, I tell you!
I think that some may deem me as, 'not your average bengali girl', which may well be true. I am pretty westernised, being born and brought up here. As much as I would like a family of my own, I am also pretty career minded. My family may not be your average bengali family either. Religion is not really something that exists in my home (... yes, we have non-muslim people in our family) but what i will say, and stand by is that my family are honest, hard-working and good-hearted people. I hope that you will get the opportunity to see that. As westernised as I may be, culture is of the utmost imporatnce to me. I love cooking Bengali food, wearing shalwar kameezes and saris and speaking the language.
As for the rest, I will leave it to your good judgement so feel free to contact me.nnMy father lives not too far away from me and I live pretty close to my elder sister who is married. I also have a younger brother too. My family are very open-minded(more so than most!), loving and welcoming, in short, they are pretty amazing.... not that I'm biased or anything!
