Hi, I'm Pooja Mathuria:Lively, ambitious, forthright and extremely down-to-earth. A physical therapist by profession. I'm very close to my family and friends. Liberal-minded, honest, frank and a complete people's person and extremely straightforward (What you see is what you get). I do not party much, but love to spend quality time with family and close friends once a while and love to travel and visit new places. It was always my long cherished dream to be doing something which helps me be of service to mankind and to be able to serve humanity. And hence I took up Physical therapy as a profession. I love my job and would dedicate my life towards helping people in pain and in need. I'm simply amazed by the power of Physical therapy in that you can make a completely bedridden patient stand up on his feet and be independent in his daily living activities with physical rehabilitation. It's my goal to contribute towards my profession and dedicate myself to a cause. I would like to gain knowledge and experience about advanced Physical therapy practice and care in the U. S and work and gain practical experience as a professional. Would like to take up further studies to upgrade my current knowledge and skills as a physical therapist and work towards improving Physical therapy care.
I love hanging out with my mom for shopping, love talking, listening to music, watching good movies and visiting new places. Music and dance are my passions. I dance and sing when I'm very happy. Though not formally trained in singing and dancing, I would love to learn classical dance and playing musical instruments someday. As a responsible citizen I like to keep myself updated about what's happening around me in the world outside. Current affairs, international politics, general knowledge, participating in discussions on politics with my dad, taking up a worthy social cause is something which keeps me ticking. I love to learn about different cultures, religions and interesting people I come across in life. I love having good food, I'm a complete foodie, I like to cook, but I'm not very fussy about it. When alone I can survive on anything vegetarian.
According to me love, mutual respect, understanding, commitment, loyalty, honesty, flexibility and most importantly communication are qualities I look out for in a prospective life-partner. Someone who is extremely level-headed, down-to-earth, liberal-minded and mature in his thoughts and beliefs. A self-made, educated man with a zest for life. Low-profile yet intellectual types catch my attention immediately. I'm not against people who drink or smoke, but I personally would prefer a non-smoker and a non-alcoholic guy, not doing drugs. He should be following Indian values and culture. Looks don't matter much to me, only we should look like a couple. A good and kind person at heart with strong set of personal values and upbringing. Someone who strikes a good balance between his Indian values and western sensibilities.
I'm an eternal optimist. My motto in life is, "Do not follow a path blindly, instead create a path yourself and set an example for others to follow by your life and deeds". There is no replacement to hard-work for being successful in life, however, some amount of luck and your destiny too play a role in it. I highly believe in karma. Reminds me of a favorite quote from a Harry Potter movie:"It's not our abilities that determine who we are, but the choices that we make. "A man is made by his circumstances and the choices he makes in his life. I also believe in the adage, "Practice what you preach", though no one is made perfect in this world. One should be himself in this world which is constantly trying to make us like someone else. That's what differentiates one person from another. I'm looking for a man with whom I can walk together with on this journey called life. Wish all of you the very best in your search for a suitable life-partner. May all of you here find the man/woman of your dreams.
