He graduated from the University of Auckland with a LLB and BCom and is currently working with a reputed Law Firm in central Auckland.

He comes from a traditional Punjabi Sikh family from the Doaba region of Punjab. He has great respect for both Punjabi and Sikh culture.

He is quite handsome. He is tall and very fair with sharp features. He keeps reasonably fit.
