I am an open minded person, very laid-back and relaxed. I have a MA in English, with an emphasis on rhetoric and composition. I want someone who enjoys hanging out with friends, good conversations, and adventure. I live for new challenges and experiences. I would like to meet someone with mutual interests.

I hate clicking on a profile that doesn’t tell me anything about the individual. Why should I have a different standard for my own snippet, right?

I grew up in the states, and I consider myself very liberal. My friends don’t necessarily reflect my own views—that would be boring. They are from different backgrounds, different careers, with different religious and political views. I love talking politics and religion. It’s good exercise for the brain. However, I also think that working in the community is crucial. There’s no point in having conviction, if you’re not willing to work or stand up for it.

Some of my personality traits—most of my personality traits I get from my father. He’s intelligent, and I like to think I am as well. He’s a kind individual, and he goes out of his way for people he meets and knows. I’m not altruistic, by any means. In fact, for now, I don’t believe altruism exists. However, I do volunteer around twelve hours a week with a youth organization here in Kentucky. My father has a temper… as do I. I do not have my father’s sense of humor, though I am working on it.

I love to read, research, write, and try to new things—adventure. Such a generic sentence, but it’s true. I recently discovered the joy of skydiving. Spelunking and hiking have always been my favorite past times. In this juncture of my life, I am teaching English to local college students. Teaching is natural to me, and I enjoy it. I love to travel, another aspect I attribute to my father.

Love eating out, definitely a film buff, book critic, armchair psychologist, somewhat [meaning, I need to dedicate more time to this] of an activist, and I have an interest in law. Spend much of my time grading papers, but I would rather be traveling or reading. I think it’s time I mentioned my mother. She’s sweet, critical, smart, proactive, very clean, and aggressive. I think I have a few of those characteristics; most of those are learned rather than inherited. I should probably mention that I am an only child.

I’m looking for someone who is progressive, liberal, constantly growing, enjoys life, has similar interests, and is committed to the cause-a happy relationship full of adventure and growth.
