Well, I won't describe myself using the common "cliches" that mostly people use :-). I believe god hasn't made anyone perfect, but yes, has given everyone an opportunity to find themselves a special someone with whom they could discover themselves and make themselves and their partner feel complete and perfect the way they are...
I would say that I have been a very fortunate child so far and am really happy the way god has blessed me with every possible happiness one could ask for, from life, may it be educationally, professionally or financially or in terms of having a loving family. Like everyone else I have been through my share of challenges that life had to offer and am proud of having overcome them and be what I am today by the grace of god and with the love and blessings of my parents.
With everything now going great and smooth, I would now like to add a new chapter to my life's book which will be shaping the story of my future and is the most important phase of my life. So here I am on Shaadi. com to see if I can find my special someone whom I could feel perfect with and of course make him feel perfect as well. I would like to call it my quest for my Alter (Other) Ego (I). Although the word is Latin, does not mean I am looking for someone Latin :p.. JK.
On a serious note, a little about myself -
I have been raised in Dubai where I spent most of my childhood. I worked with a British Multi-National for a couple of years in Dubai before moving to Australia to pursue both my Masters Degrees. Recently completed my second Masters degree in ERP and Information Systems from a reputed Australian University, furthering which, I am now working in an IT Project Management role with a renowned IT organization in Melbourne.
My family hails from Delhi. Dad is a successful businessman in Dubai. Mom is well educated and was working earlier but now has taken the bigger role of being a home-maker. Elder brother is an IT Manager in a Multi-National in Melbourne. Although I have not stayed in India as much and have spent most of my life in Dubai and then Australia, I still am very much an Indian (Desi) at heart and Punjabi by nature :).
I am a girl with a positive attitude. Love to drive, have tried my hands on sketching and photography as well (Planning on getting a DSLR very soon), love to travel, explore new places and learn new things. Am a bit career oriented but at the same time feel that family comes first at any given time. I am quite emotional, committed towards my relationships, mature and forgiving. I would say that I am someone who is loyal, perceptive and a good listener, moreover, I guess in today's world a girl has to be a mix of traditional and contemporary thoughts. Traditional, to understand the elders in the new family she makes hers and modern, in order to walk shoulder to shoulder supporting her husband in all phases of life. Thanks to my upbringing, that I understand both and reckon can manage the balance well.
I do have a wish list of qualities or rather a perceived image of my partner in my mind. He should be someone sophisticated, decent, warm and someone who knows how to respect elders and love younger ones. Most importantly he should be someone who knows how to earn respect rather than demand it. I guess I get drawn to intelligent and confident people but very quickly am put off by aggression, dominance, unreasonable and disrespectful behaviour.
Looking for Someone who believes in having a friendly relationship between husband and wife. Someone who is ready for long walks by the beach, who can make me laugh uncontrollably and make me feel comfortable in his presence. Who likes giving surprises for no reason (just like me), Who is up for exploring even the small little 'nukkad' ;) cafes' with me for an early morning breakfast or tea. Who loves travelling, Who would not mind standing in the kitchen with me and rant about his silly colleagues/Boss at work and would not mind listening to my rants either after my long day at work. Basically who can be ...... my kind of crazy...! :p.
