I am writing this as my husband and I are looking for a girl for my younger brother who can love him for who he is and he can give the right girl the love he has in him. We have just started looking around for a girl now as he feels he is ready to settle down as well. He is a soft hearted and laid back person and never stresses himself or others.
Let me tell you about my brother, whom we all love dearly and is one of my best friends. He is a 26 year old handsome guy with a spark in his eye. Witty and funny, he can always make us laugh, but is temperamental like a true Punjabi :) He is born and living in Denmark and speaks both Punjabi, Danish fluently and understands a little bit of English. He loves playing sports, mainly football and badminton and keeps himself fit and strong like an ox! He takes care of his appearance, wears a dastaar (pagh) but trims his beard.
He is currently working with a gardening services in a government institution which he loves as he loves being out in the nature. He is a caring, responsible and a very hard working individual. Well travelled and deeply connected with his Punjabi and Sikh roots, he loves Punjabi Bhangra music and devotes time to listening to Kirtan and Paath. He's an outgoing guy, slightly shy with new people, who loves going to new places, and to try new things. He also loves spending time at home with his family watching films.
My brother is a family oriented individual, deeply spiritual and connected to the Sikh sangat, but with a liberal mind. He loves going to the Gurdwara to listen to paath, kirtan and do sewa. He is living with our retired parents, whom he helps in spirit and by helping to manage the house. He hates cooking but loves helping in the kitchen and makes a mean cup of tea! He loves Punjabi meals (Saag te Maki di roti balle balle) but will eat pretty much anything that comes his way. By preference he mostly eats vegetarian food but eats meat (try keeping him away from a good burger). He doesn't drink alcohol, and he doesn't smoke.
I want to be honest, and tell you that he is slower than his peers with things like writing and maths due to complications at birth which means its hard for him to focus and do the same things the rest of us do at the same pace. This is also one of the reasons we are helping him writing this. Having said this you would never know as he is a very sporty, active and an entertaining individual and a great friend.
Academics was therefore not a big interest for him, and normally you would think such an individual is a trouble maker, but he is a street smart individual knowing how to work with his skilled hands.
He is looking for girl who is smart, entertaining and believes in the same family and spiritual values that he holds dear. To him education means little when you know how to take care of those you love and cherish. Being a Sikh is important to him as is being and living as a part of his family and wants somebody who he can cherish these things with.
So if my brother sounds like the guy you have been looking for, maybe you are the girl that he has been looking for!
